It has been brought to our attention by a member that Idaho has only two places that TSA has this screening for the threat assessment, one in Idaho Falls which is barely open,( less than 20hrs a week) and Boise. The Boise location has never reopened since Covid-19 and these locations are ran by a vendor for TSA.

The American Trucking Associations, ATA Safety Management Council (SMC) and the ATA
Transportation Security Council (TSC) provides the following recommendations for
professional drivers and motor carriers operating in areas of protest and social unrest.
The ongoing protests across our nation has put the trucking industry and professional
drivers on the frontline once again. Remaining safe and secure is the number one priority
and taking proper precautions when operating in these areas can protect drivers.
While it is impossible to plan for each situation, there are key safety and security measures
professional drivers can take when operating in areas with potential unrest. Below is a list of
recommended practices to help professional drivers remain safe and secure:

We are out again today down in South East Idaho in Inkom at the Port of Entry. Assisting Brandi Townsend with The Townsend Team @ Premier Properties to hand out "Treats for Truckers" We are handing out cookies and beverages to all Truckers passing through both sides today until 2 pm or when the cookies are gone.

The Idaho Trucking Association participated in the Future Farmers of America (FFA) Gem State Leadership Conference that took place this last Monday and Tuesday at the Riverside Hotel in Garden City. They had a lunch for state lawmakers at this event and also had career booths there for the kids.
