It has been brought to our attention by a member that Idaho has only two places that TSA has this screening for the threat assessment, one in Idaho Falls which is barely open,( less than 20hrs a week) and Boise. The Boise location has never reopened since Covid-19 and these locations are ran by a vendor for TSA.

It has been brought to our attention by a member that Idaho has only two places that TSA has this screening for the threat assessment, one in Idaho Falls which is barely open,( less than 20hrs a week) and Boise. The ITA reached out to the ATA for help, which they set up a meeting with TSA and Homeland Security for us to discuss this issue of not reopening and drivers needing to renew their HME. Here is the result of those discussions.

Pop-Up enrollment Event at Idaho Department of Transportation Boise, ID for new and renewals of (HME) Monday July 20th -July 24th.

Directions: Enrollment Event at ITD near rear of complex next to large yellow roll up door.
From State street turn south onto LTD drive across from N 33rd into the Idaho Transportation Department Complex. Stay to right when road forks and continue past the right side of main building that leads to rear of lot and warehouse at the end. Office is immediately to the right of large yellow roll up door on the right corner of building.

Any one that needs a renewal of HME or an original assessment should go to this event, there is no time frame yet on when the Boise location will be reopen.
